Hi all,  Sorry I haven't been doing much lately on Deviantart.  At the moment I'm a little busy with Animation Mentor, a great 3d animation online school.  I'm really blown away by the high quality of the school and the students.  In regular college I was among the best 2d animators, I thought that animation would be a breeze.  At Animation Mentor; ITS HARD AS HELL.  At first I thought it was the transition to 3d and the looong time away from animating.  But now I realize that the students and the teachers hold themselves to a higher standard.

On the other hand I have been doing a few 2d work (a comic for Alan 2pgs, concept work for a short film with a few buddies of mine, and art therapy for mentally handicapped kids: which is rewarding in its own way)  I'll post these soon.

Well up to this point I thought as an artist I could avoid moving into the 3d realm and stick with 2d; which I thought at the time, much more fun.  Now, I think of all the different possibilities that are available in 3d and wonder why I didn't go for it earlier.  Thus, I'm starting to learn it on my own.  Going back to school to learn a skill seems like a waste of time at the moment.  At this point, going back for another bachelor's degree is not needed I say.

The program is hellishly complex and in depth (Maya) and 3d gains healthy respect from me to all its artists.
